Brooklyn, NY– Creative Lightworker and Humanist, Fontaine Felisha Foxworth, has completed and self-published what she calls the modern "Rider-Waite" Tarot Card Deck, “Melanade Stand's Tarot™”

“Tarot practice has long been downplayed, and demonized as negative, or some kind of dark divination. Tarot however, is nothing of the sort. It is simply a way to access the intuition and wisdom of your higher consciousness.  Because of the conditioning of black and brown communities, specifically in the urban inner cities of the US, many of us have been led to believe that Tarot is a bad thing, and something we should stay away from. It's similar to the caricaturization of voodoo in fictionalized Hollywood films for theatrical entertainment and capitalization. I would like to reverse this way of thinking, and make Tarot more accessible to the people of color to whom it's power potential might be innately blocked. We live in a time where people, (especially WOC) are drawing closer to spirituality, groundedness, and the search for something higher.” says Foxworth.

 Melanade Stand's Tarot™ is the world’s very first, non-illustrated classic photographed tarot card deck entirely inspired by WOC and re-imagined through the eyes and spirit of a melanated woman, on her journey to integrating her most higher self.  MST celebrates and embraces the beauty and diversity of brown and black women, as every card is art directed to emphasize the core, sacred messages of tarot- with a modern brown girl spin. The MST deck will include 78, 2.75 X4.7 5" artfully designed photographed, 350 GSM, Satin finish, UV Gloss coated cards, including all suits of the Major and Minor Arcana. An E-Book  Ultimate Melanade Stand's Tarot Handbook, authored by Foxworth, is available NOW! The Decks will come  with a crystal quartz, a stick of palo santo in a silk carrying pouch.

Fontaine is a Black, female, Brooklyn College B.A  Degree holding Filmmaker, Humanist, Creative & budding Entrepreneur from Brooklyn, NY. She proclaims that she is here to fulfill her role in her life as a Lightworker - sharing light, love, & laughter to anyone the universe leads her to. She a dynamic, go getter, with a strong desire to give back to the world- one person at a time. Fontaine has created all of the graphic design, and art direction for Melanade Stand's   Tarot™   with photographs taken by New York Based photographer, Brad Ogbonna.
